Aphyosemion congicum
Aphyosemion congicum is a peaceful, somewhat shy fish that can be kept together with other small and peaceful fishes. The aquarium should be planted densely because they need hiding places. A dark substrate and a dimmed light by using floating plants bring out the colours of the fish. They are very sensitive for water pollution. A regular changing of the water is recommendable.
Diet
You should give them small live food.
Breeding Aphyosemion congicum
Breeding Aphyosemion congicum is rather easy. The eggs are laid and fertilized between fine leaved plants. Young fishes can stay in the same aquarium as their parents. When they become older, you should move them to a separate aquarium where they can grow further.
