Amblypomacentrus clarus

Not much is known about Amblypomacentrus clarus. They were officially described in 2000 by Gerald R. Allen and Mohammad Adrim.

Description

Amblypomacentrus clarus can reach a maximum length of about six centimeters. The ground color of this species is white with 3 black vertical stripes. These stripes extend approximately halfway down the flank.

They show many similarities with Amblypomacentrus breviceps. However, this species has yellow ventral and anal fins and a yellow portion on the posterior half of the abdomen. They coexist in the same habitat.

Origin

The habitat of this species is around Indonesia. They inhabit the reefs at depths of 15 to 25 meters.

The Aquarium

It is not known whether they have ever been successfully kept in an aquarium.
