Calophysus macropterus – Zamurito

With a maximum length of 40 cm, Calophysus macropterus is a relatively small Pimelodus Catfish and is therefore reasonably suitable for a large aquarium. The species lives in the Amazon and Orinoco. It is a relatively peaceful catfish that feeds mainly on carrion. The species are known among fishermen as fish that attack caught fish in nets. There are also known cases in the aquarium when they take bites from other fish.
