Carnegiella schereri – Dwarf Hatchetfish
Carnegiella schereri was described in 1950 by Fernández-Yépez. Their common name is Dwarf Hatchetfish. They even remain slightly smaller than Carnegiella marthae.
Description
Carnegiella schereri is very closely related to Carnegiella marthae and at first glance they look completely alike. The difference can be seen in the dark color on the ax. Carnegiella schereri has dark brown dots on the belly. Carnegiella marthae has dark brown stripes on the belly.
