Cynotilapia sp. Lions Cove

Cynotilapia sp. Lions Cove is one of the dwarf Malawi species that grows to a maximum size of 9 to 10 centimeters. The male has his territory around a burrow that he digs at the foot of a rock, he usually camps above this rock in search of food. An aquarium with some piles of stones that cannot fall over and a sandy bottom is recommended for this species to be able to see its natural breeding behavior.

The yellow color on its body alternates with brown stripes, while its fins are blue/black striped. A very beautiful fish that, due to its small size, should not be kept together with larger predators such as the Nimbochromis.
