Dimidiochromis kiwinge

You should not keep this large predator with fishes that are too small, because they will end up as food. The aquarium should be set up with rocks to create hiding places. There must also be sufficient free swimming space. Especially the males are very aggressive among themselves. Powerful filtration and regular heavy water changes are necessary.

Origin

Lake Malawi

Diet

For food, vigorous live food should be given in the form of small fish. Shrimp and mussels are also eagerly eaten.

Breeding Dimidiochromis kiwinge

About breeding in the aquarium not much is known.
