Hyphessobrycon pyrrhonotus

Hyphessobrycon pyrrhonotus is a peaceful schooling fish that should be kept with a minimum of 10 pieces and can be kept very well together with other peaceful fish in a community aquarium. If the number kept is too small, they quickly perish. The aquarium should be planted on the edges and background, while leaving plenty of free swimming space in the center. Subdued lighting in certain areas is highly appreciated.

Diet

It is omnivorous. So there can be sufficient variation in the menu. Dry food is accepted as well.

Breeding Hyphessobrycon pyrrhonotus

As far as I have been able to ascertain, this species has not yet been bred in the aquarium.
