Parambassis pulcinella – Humphead Perchlet

Parambassis pulcinella or Humphead Perchlet is discovered only a few years ago (2003) and not much is known about them. You should plant the aquarium densely because they are very aggressive to each other and fishes of a lower rank need hiding places. You should use a powerful filter for a good aeration and clear water.

This species was first described in 2003 by Kottelat.

Origin

The Humphead Perchlet originates from Myanmar.

Diet

They are omnivorous. You should give them a great variety of live, frozen and dry food.

Breeding

About breeding Parambassis pulcinella in the aquarium nothing is known yet.
