Devario

Fish from the genus Devario are mainly found in Southeast Asia. Thanks to their streamed bodies, most species live in rivers with moderate to strong currents. That is why it is also recommended to ensure sufficient flow in the aquarium.

The genus Devario includes some fish species that are regularly kept in aquariums, such as Devario devario. These fish are quite easy to keep and do not have strict requirements for water values. Some species from this genus used to be part of the genus Danio. Both of these genera are also quite similar. However, Devario species are larger than fish of the genus Danio. Because of this, species belonging to Devario must also be kept in a larger aquarium.
